Brooklyn Playwrights Connect!

A workshop that will help writers build character-driven, active, and speakable dramatic speeches through targeted writing prompts and group readings.

Writers will learn the nuances of creating dramatic action in their monologues. The workshop will focus on both subtext and voice as our writers will craft rhythms, pauses, and distinct character dialects that sound authentic when spoken aloud. 

This workshop will offer the writer Peer Feedback. Writers will have the opportunity to hear their drafted lines read aloud by actors and peers, allowing them to see what works and what needs revision. 

All writer's completing our Monologue Workshop will be guaranteed to have their monologue performed in our upcoming Monologue Festival!!
