3D Modeling with an AI Collaborator
Generative AI is changing not only how we create digital content, but also how we can design and make physical objects. When paired with technologies such as 3D printing, AI can help lower some of the technical barriers between having an idea and turning it into something you can actually hold.
In this hands-on session, Technology Studio staff will explore how AI can support different stages of the 3D design and printing process, from developing an initial idea to creating and refining models for fabrication. Along the way, we’ll consider where AI is genuinely useful, where human judgment and creativity still matter, and what these new workflows make possible for teaching, research, and creative work.
No experience with AI, 3D modeling, or 3D printing is required. Come with an idea, a problem you’d like to solve, or simply some curiosity about what becomes possible when emerging digital and physical technologies come together.
