NGĀ ART - Te Whare Toi o Ngaaruawaahia

Designed specifically for girls and young women who are passionate about performing, this term's Performance Club will focus on creating a polished theatrical performance based on a play that explores the realities of being a tween today.

Throughout the term, students will work closely with the script while developing the skills needed to bring their characters to life. Lessons will focus on expression, stage presence, character development, confidence, and audience engagement, alongside a variety of theatrical activities designed to strengthen performance skills and teamwork.

This is a purpose-driven class for focused young performers who are excited about rehearsing, refining their craft, and working towards a strong final presentation. At the end of the term, family and friends will be invited to enjoy a small performance showcasing the script the group has been working on.

While drama is for everyone, this class is best suited to girls who are keen to commit to a shared performance goal. If your child is looking for a more relaxed introduction to drama, confidence-building activities, or a class with a broader mix of games and performance experiences, our Drama Club may be a better fit.
