Titel EN: Statement to Substance – How Anti-Discrimination Really Takes Hold in the Workplace
Sprache: Deutsch with live translation into English
Zielgruppe: alle Interessent*innen
Aktionstag: Black History Month
🇬🇧 How does an anti-discrimination policy on paper become lived practice inside a company? That is precisely what this keynote is about. It starts with us as individuals, but also as part of a company or organisation: with the question of how we take a stand – especially now, as society's shift to the right continues to take shape. Because taking a stand is needed twice over: inwardly, within our own organisational culture, and, more than ever, outwardly. We look at discrimination on all its levels and at how different forms of discrimination interlock. Because intersectionality shows us that our struggles are connected. When the rights of one group are cut back, everyone ends up on the sidelines. This is why structures of care must not be treated as a nice-to-have. Workplaces need to attend to employees as whole people – not just to retain them, but to take responsibility as an organisation. And taking anti-discrimination seriously means democratising workplaces. For everyone.
