The High-Hazard Environment Tactical Operations Course is designed for SWAT/SRT members and experienced law enforcement personnel with prior training in tactical entries and warrant service. This specialized course prepares tactical operators to safely plan for and respond to operations involving clandestine drug laboratories, fentanyl and other hazardous drugs and chemicals, and explosive laboratory environments.

Instruction focuses on hazard recognition, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) selection and planning, operational planning, tactical medical considerations, post-operational responsibilities, and agency liability and risk mitigation. Classroom instruction is reinforced through intensive, scenario-based shoot-house exercises, including audio/video recording to support performance review and after-action discussions.

This course emphasizes the integration of tactical proficiency, hazard awareness, medical preparedness, operational discipline, and sound decision-making when conducting enforcement operations in high-hazard environments.

Prerequisite: Prior tactical entry/warrant-service training and experience is recommended.

Important: This course is not a Clandestine Laboratory, HAZMAT, or HAZWOPER certification course.
