Off The Dome: A 4-Week Freestyle Rap Workshop

Freestyle rap can feel intimidating - especially when you’re trying to rhyme, stay on beat, tell a story, and think ahead all at once. Off The Dome is a four-week workshop designed to break freestyle down into practical tools improvisers can actually use on stage.

We’ll explore rhyming, rhythm, flow, storytelling, and freestyle thinking while connecting those skills to familiar improv concepts like justification, point of view, character, and commitment. You’ll experiment with different styles, build stronger perspectives, and practice turning suggestions into confident, connected raps without getting stuck searching for the “perfect” rhyme.

You won’t leave four weeks later expected to be a master freestyler - but you will leave understanding how freestyle works, how to approach it as an improviser, and how to keep improving after the workshop ends. Our ultimate goal is to give you the tools and confidence to hear a beat, take a suggestion, and know what to do next.
