Materials: $25, paid to instructor: Includes the use of silk screens, silk screen enamel paint, and/or glass powder to create four prints of your choice. Glass can be purchased at the studio, or you are welcome to bring your own COE 90 glass. If time allows, additional prints may be made for an additional fee. The prints will be created on clear glass, which can then be fused with your choice of colored glass to create your finished piece. A 4" × 4" piece of clear glass is $2.20, while a piece of colored glass ranges from approximately $2.75 to $7.00, depending on the glass selected.

Silk screening and glass powder printing on fused glass with glass enamels and glass powders

Screen printing on fused glass is a fun and versatile technique that allows you to
transfer detailed designs onto glass using a reusable silk screen stencil and glass
enamel paste. The enamel is pulled across the stencil with a squeegee, allowed to dry,
and then fired in a kiln, permanently bonding the design to the glass.

The glass powder printing technique is similar to enamel screen printing, but instead
of using enamel paste, we pull fine glass powder through a silk screen with the stencil
attached to the back. This technique allows you to create crisp, detailed designs without
disturbing the powder.

Both techniques can take your fused glass projects to the next level! They open up so
many creative possibilities—from adding intricate details and patterns to creating
landscapes with beautiful dimensional depth.
