Inclusive Pedagogy Workshop: Introduction to Inquiry Dialogue

Fri, Nov 13, 2026, 1:30 – 2:45 PM EST
Faculty Hub - Third Floor of Boatwright Library

Please join the Faculty Hub and faculty and students from The WEB Project for an introduction to Inquiry Dialogue.

In this session, we will discuss Inquiry Dialogue, a conversational practice that empowers students to use language in a collaborative and productive way to learn and co-create knowledge and that is foundational to The WEB Project. Implemented in 15 sections of First Year Seminar in Fall 2025, The WEB Project is a classroom-based program intended to promote belonging among UR students. We will introduce activities designed to provide students with opportunities to learn about and practice inquiry dialogue, and undergraduate researchers on The WEB Project will share instructor perspectives (in aggregate) on the value of and/or challenges associated with teaching and facilitating inquiry dialogue.

This session will be co-facilitated by Karen Kochel (Associate Professor, Psychology), Kristjen Lundberg (Associate Professor, Psychology), and research students Clara Maclean, Lena Ondreyka, and Grace Pawlewicz.
