Front End Induction Overview
This induction is designed to provide employees with an understanding of Front End operations within the Ball can manufacturing process. The session introduces the equipment, processes, quality requirements, and safety standards involved in converting aluminium coils into can bodies ready for further processing.
Participants will gain an understanding of:
- The role of the Front End department within the can manufacturing process
- Overview of cupping, bodymaking, washing, and decorating processes
- Key production equipment and its function
- Product quality standards and critical control points
- Defect identification and reporting procedures
- Safe operating practices and machine guarding requirements
- Lock Out, Tag Out (LOTO) awareness and permit systems
- Housekeeping, GMP, and workplace organisation standards
- Process monitoring and performance measures
- Environmental and sustainability considerations within manufacturing
- Communication and escalation procedures for operational issues
The induction ensures employees understand how Front End operations impact safety, quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. It provides the knowledge needed to work safely and effectively while supporting the production of high-quality aluminium cans.
