That isn't a learning problem. It's a method problem, and it starts with one thing: nobody ever told them their real level.

OLA doesn't sell hours. We start by measuring your level, then help you move it.

Every lesson ends with a role-play from your track, so you practice the conversations you'll actually have.

Your 10-hour roadmap

Before your first lesson: your Oral Proficiency Interview (included)
Your interview is conducted personally by OLA's director, an ACTFL-certified OPI tester. This is the same live, face-to-face interview format used by universities, government agencies and employers, not a computer test.

Within 48 hours, you'll receive your Personal Proficiency Plan. It shows your current level on the ACTFL scale, your target for the next 10 hours, and the skills holding you back.

The OPI does not count toward your 10 hours of instruction.

Hours 1–5: Close your biggest gap
We start with the skill that's holding you back the most and build it through your track's real-life scenarios.

Hours 6–9: Push to your next level
We work on the skills that define the next step up: longer answers, the past and future, and handling questions you didn't see coming.

Hour 10: Exit check
We finish with a short final conversation modeled on your OPI, and your instructor compares it with where you started. You'll leave with an Exit Report showing where you started, what improved, and your recommended next step.
