Congratulations on being selected to participate in the JazzSA Northern Big Band!
This is a free program for musicians aged 25 and under, providing the opportunity to rehearse and perform challenging big band repertoire alongside other young musicians from Adelaide’s northern suburbs and beyond.
Term 4 Dates & Commitment
Rehearsals will take place at Northern Sound System on Thursday evenings from 7:00–9:00pm.
Our first rehearsal will be Thursday 15 October, with six rehearsals across the term. The program will culminate in a concert at Northern Sound System on Thursday 26 November.
Please note that we expect musicians to attend all rehearsals and the final concert. Regular attendance is important to ensure the band can prepare effectively and get the most out of the program.
Musicians are asked to arrive 15 minutes before the rehearsal, at approximately 6:45pm, to set up and be ready for a 7:00pm downbeat.
What to Bring
You will need to bring your own music stand to each rehearsal.

- Bass amp
- Guitar amp
- Keyboard
If providing a music stand will be a challenge for you, please let us know and we will see what we can arrange.
