• Read the Merit Badge booklet. NOTE: The official merit badge pamphlets are now free and downloadable. Download Free Pamphlet or it can be purchased at the Scout Shop.

• Requirement 1 – Prepare your statement and bring this to class with you. It should be no more than 1 or 2 paragraphs in length.

• Requirements 2, 3, 4 and 5. Selection ONE from each and do the reading/research. Prepare your documented answer and come to class prepared to discuss.

• Requirements 6, 7, 8 and 9. If you have time to complete these before the badge class, bring your work. Depending on how many scouts we have we may or may not have time to complete these discussions in class. If not, an online or in person review (remember to include a parent or Scout leader) will be scheduled with the badge counselor. The class is intended to be a morning or afternoon only class. Not an all-day class.
