Curious Kids Create Holiday Gifts
CURIOUS KIDS CREATE
Gift Series at Curious Kids Collective
Four Tuesdays. Creative and handmade gifts. Made together, out of clay.
This holiday season, Studio Spoltore is bringing clay to Curious Kids Collective. Over four Tuesday sessions, you and your child hand-build a set of keepsake gifts, then paint them at our Glaze Party. Kids do the making, moms help, and everything is fired and back in your hands before Christmas.
THE SERIES
Week 1, Tue Nov 3: Ornaments and Handprint Keepsake Dish. Your child cuts four ornaments and carves their name and the year into each one. Then they press their handprint into a slab, and you shape it into a dish together.
Week 2, Tue Nov 10: Cookies for Santa Plate. An 8-inch plate decorated with raised trees, stars, stockings and holly leaves, signed and dated by your child. It’s made to come out every Christmas Eve.
Week 3, Tue Nov 17: Mommy and Me Mug. Mom wraps and joins the mug body from our template. Your child presses in textures, carves their initials and adds a small clay charm.
Week 4, Tue Dec 8: Glaze Party. Your pieces come back from their first firing, and you paint them with bright underglazes. We finish them with a food-safe clear glaze and fire them one last time.
No class Nov 24 (Thanksgiving) or Dec 1 (pieces are drying and in the kiln).

GOOD TO KNOW
Clay takes its time. Every piece dries for about a week, then goes through two kiln firings. Your work stays with us between sessions, so nothing wet rides home in the car.
All clay and glazes are non-toxic and made for classroom use. Cleanup is done wet with sponges, so there’s no clay dust. Each mom signs one waiver for herself and her child at the first session.
The series needs at least 8 pairs to run. If it doesn’t fill, everyone gets a full refund. And if a piece breaks in the kiln, we’ll make it right.
No experience needed. Most of our students had never touched clay either.
