Get creative this Holiday season while exploring block printing and textile design! Carve your own stamp and custom print an assortment of festive cotton gift bags! Experiment with colors, patterns, and repeat designs while getting creative with combining block printing with other fabric printing techniques to customize your bags. Experiment with under dyeing bags, or add hand-painted elements for an extra touch of flair. Each participant will work with a 6x6 inch block with the option to cut it into smaller pieces to make multiple stamps. A selection of fabric stamps will also be available to experiment with to inspire your designs. Leave the workshop with an assortment of 5 custom printed gift bags, including a stuffable tote, a zippered tote, and 3 drawstring bags-perfect for wrapping Holiday gifts! *Students are encouraged to create their block designs for carving ahead of time-details will be sent prior to class.
