It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Kitchen! The smell of warm spices, a little flour on the bench, and the joy of making something delicious with the ones you love. There’s just something special about a kitchen full of Christmas baking.

Join us at Riverside Kitchen for a cosy, hands-on Christmas Cookie Box Workshop. Whether you’re a keen home baker, a Christmas baking enthusiast, or simply someone who loves a good excuse to get into the festive spirit, this is your chance to spend some time in the kitchen, meet fellow baking lovers, and share a little Christmas cheer.

Each station will take on a different festive treat, with everyone working together as we create a delicious collection of Christmas baking. Once the work is done, we’ll bring everything together and you'll build your very own cookie box, filled with a little bit of everyone’s hard work. You’ll head home with a beautiful box of treats to enjoy. You can share them with someone special or keep them all to yourself. We won’t judge!

Here’s what we’ll be baking:

• Dirty Chai Gingerbread Sandwich Cookies (Chai Spiced Gingerbread with Brown Butter Espresso Filling)
• White Chocolate Covered Peanuts and Pretzels
• Peppermint Oreo Bark (Trader Joe's Candy Cane JoJo Dupe!)
• Ginger Crunch Square
• Brown Butter Almond Joy Chocolate Chip Cookies
• Date Ball Cookies

All recipes and ingredients are provided, and you’ll receive a copy of every recipe so you can recreate your favourites at home. Our instructor will be floating around to offer guidance, answer questions, and lend a hand when needed, but this workshop is really about the joy of baking together. It's less of a formal cooking class and more a festive kitchen gathering, where everyone contributes something delicious and leaves with a little more Christmas cheer than they arrived with.

Come for the cookies, stay for the company, and leave with a box full of homemade Christmas goodness. We can’t wait to fill the kitchen with a little festive magic!

Bring the kids, bring the grandparents, bring your favourite baking buddy!

This is a lovely way to spend time across generations, make a happy mess in the kitchen, and let us take care of the clean up! Children are welcome to join a paying adult at no additional charge but please do register them. Each adult will receive one finished cookie box, regardless of how many children come along. A maximum of two children per adult, although we recommend one child per adult where possible, as there’s plenty to do and little hands may need a bit of help along the way.

A few things to know before booking:

This event is all about sharing and creating together, so each participant will contribute to the communal baking before we assemble the finished boxes.

Unfortunately, we’re unable to accommodate dietary requirements or allergies for this particular workshop. The recipes contain a combination of gluten, dairy, nuts and eggs, and the shared baking format makes it impractical for us to provide safe alternatives. Please keep this in mind when booking.

Beverages will be available to purchase during the workshop, so you can enjoy something festive while you bake!
