MOSAIC engage - English Classes

SCHEDULE:

Days: Saturdays (1 morning per week)

Times: 9:30am - 11:30am

Length: 6 weeks

Dates: November 14 - December 19, 2026

Location: MOSAIC Burnaby Language Centre is inside Metrotown Mall. Go to the "Grand Court" at the centre of the mall. Take the big colourful elevator to the top floor (the button says "OG" for Office Galleria). Go LEFT when you leave the elevator. We are in unit #454.

DESCRIPTION:

This class is suitable for Intermediate level students (CLB 3-5).

The ESL for Parents class will help you develop English skills to express yourself clearly using topics and situations relevant to parents of young children. This includes speaking about your child and childcare, daily routine, play, communicating with your children's school, daycare, healthcare, and talking to other parents.

The class focuses on spoken communication. You will fix your pronunciation problems, strengthen your grammar, grow your vocabulary, and practice discussions with your classmates. Our teachers will guide you with feedback and corrections to help you develop your English skills.

Childminding services are available during this class for an additional fee.

OPTIONAL CHILDMINDING SERVICES:

Bring your child with you and have them watched by our childminding staff during your class. Children will enjoy a variety of age-appropriate activities in a safe, fun, and caring environment, while parents attend their class.

Led by qualified Early Childhood Educators (ECEs), the centre offers engaging activities that encourage creativity, learning, and social development, including arts and crafts, games, songs, seasonal celebrations, cookie decorating, and more.

Childminding services have a 2-hours maximum timeframe.

To select this option, choose the childminding services add-on during registration and pay the $145 fee that covers your 6 Saturdays of childminding. Our staff will then reach out to you within 2 business days to help you register your child. At that time, you will need to provide your child's name, age, and MSP number, the parent's name, email address, and phone number. You will need to download the Bloomily app, create an account, and sign the waiver. Our staff will help guide you through this process.

PAYMENT OPTIONS:

1) Register and pay in full

Use a credit card to pay online when you register, OR to pay with cash visit our main office at 2555 Commercial Drive during business hours.

2) Register with a deposit

Choose the option to register with just a $75 deposit. The remaining fees can be paid when your class begins. The deposit is non-refundable.

3) Register with a deposit and pay in installments

For clients in financial need, we can split payments over time. Choose the option to register with a $75 deposit. Then, during the first week of class, our staff will contact you to create a payment plan. Your remaining fees can be split into 2 or 3 payments.

**Childminding add-on must be paid in full at the time of registration if chosen.
