Okanagan Traditional Plants
Join Indigenous Elder Louise Snowdon for a full day of hands-on learning, cultural teachings, and connection to the natural world through traditional plant medicines of the Okanagan, Northwest Coast, and surrounding regions.
Morning Session: Traditional Plant Medicines & Herbal Teas
Explore the cultural significance and traditional uses of medicinal plants, including Devil’s Club, stinging nettle, cedar, and other traditional medicines. Learn about respectful harvesting, traditional preparation methods, and the importance of caring for the plants and lands that sustain us. Participants will also create their own herbal tea blend using selected tea-safe herbs to take home.
