Learning Center, 97 Railroad Ave., Albany, NY Map
Here’s your chance to make a fun musical instrument.
Cigar box ukuleles come from a tradition of homemade musical instruments, which provided people an affordable way to make music using repurposed materials.
In this two-session class, you’ll construct a concert or tenor ukulele using a kit from MGB Guitars and a cigar box. Your instructor will lead you through the steps of assembly, stringing and tuning, and you’ll take home a ukulele ready to play.
There is a $60 materials fee, payable to the instructor, in addition to the tuition of $40.
