Adirondack Mountain Club

Join ADK in Albany for the first-ever Adirondack Mountain Club Lobby Day! Speak directly to legislators in the State Senate and Assembly about the important work ADK is doing and the need for funding to support our ongoing and upcoming projects, including:

• Funding for the High Peaks Information Center, which educates hikers at New York's most popular backcountry trailhead
• Infrastructure improvements at Heart Lake to enhance visitor experience
• Parking lot upgrades at Heart Lake

Food and beverage may be provided at this event. Please indicate any allergies or dietary restrictions when registering.

Materials & Logistics

• When you arrive, you will receive a personalized schedule for the day, including the list of legislative meetings, the list of team members, and important contact information in case you have questions or need to find your group. Each team will have a designated leader, who will be experienced and know how to find their way around the Capitol.
• Please work with your team lead to help your group stay together and be on time for meetings.

Dress Suggestions

• Business casual clothing is suggested when meeting with state legislators and their staff.
• Please remember you will be required to remove your jacket and pass through metal detectors to enter the Legislative Office Building/Capitol. Any bags or other items with you will also need to be scanned/inspected.
• Please do not carry any weapons, including pocket knives or keychains that can be used as weapons, as this will prevent your entry into the building.
• You will need to carry your jacket and other personal items with you for the day. We do not have a secure location and cannot be responsible for your belongings. Depending on weather, please consider leaving your coat in the car if you prefer not to carry it.
• Please bring a water bottle, snack, and any other items you wish to have with you throughout the day.
