PLEASE NOTE: OPEN STUDIO IS NOT A CLASS
No instruction is provided. Open Studio is independent practice time for potters who are already comfortable on the wheel. A studio attendant is on site to open the space and help with pickups, not to teach. If you’d like guidance, sign up for one of our wheel classes instead.

Three hours, one wheel, no assignments. Open Studio is your time to practice, experiment and make the pieces you’ve been thinking about all week, in a relaxed studio with other makers around you. Throw your pieces and we’ll take it from there: our studio team trims them once they’re leather-hard and gets them ready for the kiln.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

• 3 hours of wheel time
• 5 lbs of studio clay
• Trimming by our studio team
• Up to 4 pieces bisque and glaze fired
• Studio glazes and tools

WHO CAN JOIN

• Ages 16 and up
• Completed the Studio Spoltore 4-Week or 6-Week Wheel Series, or
• Experienced potters from other studios: email 3–5 photos of your wheel-thrown work before booking. Once approved, your first visit includes a quick studio walkthrough.

ONLY REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS MAY ATTEND
Each booking covers one person on one wheel. Friends and family can’t watch or wait in the studio.

PRICING

• $65 per session
• Additional clay: $2/lb
• Additional pieces fired: $6 each

GOOD TO KNOW

• Studio clay only, no outside clay or glazes
• Please leave your wheel and workspace clean before you go
• Glazing sessions count as an Open Studio visit
• Finished work is ready for pickup 3–4 weeks after glazing
• Bookings that don’t meet the requirements will be refunded
