Tech-Facilitated Abuse
Survivors are increasingly experiencing technology-facilitated abuse (TFA) as people who cause harm find new ways to use technology to manipulate, stalk, and harass others. From mobile apps and AirTags to social media and artificial intelligence (AI), technology has created new ways for abuse to occur in our everyday lives.
Join us to explore how technology intersects with gender-based violence and how we can better support survivors experiencing TFA. This training will cover foundational terminology, emerging scams and tactics to be aware of, and practical resources for recognizing signs of TFA, safety planning, evidence collection, and more.
Whether you consider yourself a technology novice or a tech-savvy pro, you’ll leave with new insights, tools, and strategies to help support survivors navigating technology-facilitated abuse.
This virtual training is provided for members and IDHS-funded organizations only; and will issues 2 CEUs for counseling or social work at no cost. Please indicate your desire for CEUs in your registration and later in your evaluation. Please confirm here if your organization is a member of The Network.
A Zoom link will be provided the day before training begins.
