Intermediate First Aid & CPR Level C
Previously known as Standard First Aid & CPR Level C
Course Overview
This comprehensive two-day course provides in-depth first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training for individuals who require certification for workplace requirements or want the knowledge and confidence to respond to emergencies at home or in the community.
Participants will develop practical skills in CPR, automated external defibrillator (AED) use, choking response, breathing and circulation emergencies, wound care, fracture management, sudden medical emergencies, and other potentially life-threatening situations.
Through a combination of instructor-led learning, hands-on practice, and realistic emergency scenarios, participants will learn to recognize emergencies, assess injuries and illnesses, provide appropriate first aid, and care for individuals until professional medical assistance arrives.
The course curriculum aligns with the CSA Z1210 Intermediate First Aid standard and is designed to meet applicable federal and provincial workplace first aid training requirements.
Ideal for employees, employers, workplace first aid responders, community members, and anyone seeking comprehensive first aid and CPR certification.

Maintaining Your Certification
Canadian Red Cross Intermediate First Aid & CPR Level C certification is valid for three years.
Although certification remains valid for this period, participants are encouraged to refresh their first aid knowledge and practical skills regularly to maintain confidence and readiness when responding to emergencies.
Some employers, workplaces, and organizations may require first aid and CPR training more frequently than the standard three-year certification period.
Participants should confirm their employer's requirements and applicable workplace first aid regulations to ensure their certification remains appropriate for their responsibilities.
