🧵Practical Sewing Workshop: Zip It Up! Zipper Basics & Repairs

Don't let a broken zipper put your favorite clothing out of commission! In this hands-on sewing workshop, participants will learn the essential skills for installing and replacing zippers, gaining the confidence to tackle common clothing repairs and give well-loved garments a new lease on life.

In this workshop, you will:

• Learn how to install a zipper in a garment, including techniques for creating a neat, secure and functional finish.
• Practice removing and replacing a broken pants zipper, learning the steps involved in taking out an old zipper and sewing in a new one.
• Get personalized zipper repair advice! Participants are welcome to bring an item that needs a new zipper. If time allows, instructors will provide advice on the best approach for replacing the zipper.

Whether you're looking to repair a favorite pair of pants, replace a worn-out zipper, or build your sewing skills, this practical workshop will help you take the frustration out of zipper repairs and put your sewing confidence on track!

This workshop is an intermediate level in the sense that participants must have sewing experience and must be able to sew a straight line.

Please note: In the event of inclement weather, the workshop will be rescheduled to a later date.
