Winter High Peaks: Sawteeth
This program is a guided day hike to Sawteeth (elevation 4100’). This hike is 12.6 miles round-trip with 3106' of elevation gain.
Please plan on arriving at the Adirondack Mountain Reserve (AMR) Parking Lot off of Route 73 by 7:30am. Please arrive packed and ready to hike. At the trailhead, we'll go through introductions, a trip overview, and an information briefing. We will then embark on our journey to this summit. The trip will be led by a member of ADK’s professional guide staff team. All ADK professional guides are New York State licensed guides, Wilderness First Responders, and Leave No Trace instructors.
This trip demands a high level of physical fitness in order to complete it within the available daylight hours. Please review our Essential Eligibility Criteria to understand the fundamental requirements for joining an ADK trip. ADK reserves the right to deny participation if group safety will be compromised through an individual's participation. Prior snowshoeing and High Peaks hiking experience is highly recommended. Good physical condition, proper clothing, and proper equipment are a must.
