UvA Training - Student Services

UvA Connects: Are you in for the challenge of a debate competition? Start in a small group and try to make the finals!

Enhance your public speaking skills. Or just drop by for the fun of competitive debating

We are hosting a mini debate competition. You'll give short speeches on relatable, fun topics. First, in small groups; if you make it to the finals, you'll speak in front of everyone. You are more than welcome to drop by if you are interested in the debate world or just want to enhance your public speaking skills.

About this student association

Bonaparte is a student debate association connected to the University of Amsterdam. We organise weekly debates in Dutch and English, debating courses, tournaments and social activities. We aim to create an inclusive and welcoming environment where students can develop their debating and public speaking skills, exchange ideas and meet new people. Whether you join to debate or simply to enjoy student life, everyone is welcome, regardless of study, background or experience.

This event is part of UvA Connects 2026.
