Lessons 0-5 and 6-10 of the textbook བོད་སྐད་སྙིང་པོ། The Heart of Tibetan Language Volume 1 focus on topics such as the Tibetan alphabet and spelling, the all-pervading aspects of བདག་ and གཞན། in Tibetan language, all types of sentences, building the three tenses, the imperative mood, numbers, and calendar. The webinar of Lesson 0 introduces the students to the fascinating world of metacognition - learning how to learn.

This full package for self-study gives access to all supportive resources of Volume 1 which include:

You may use these materials for self-study or as a preparation to the SINI online Colloquial Tibetan language courses (Upper Beginner Tib. 102 or Lower Intermediate Tib. 201).

Important note: The live recordings of the online SINI Tibetan language courses do not make part of this package for privacy reasons of our dear students.

As creative and thorough as they are, they can not substitute communication skills and insights into the language that one gains when Tibetan language course or engaging with a study community. It is because learning a language, especially a spoken one, is a social undertaking, and mastering a language alone is nearly to impossible. That's why we strongly encourage you to enroll into a Tibetan language course or find fellow companions who also study Tibetan language to form a small study group together.
