For any sessions offered during the traditional school day/hours, a minor participant MUST be home educated (current DOI submitted to Georgia DOE) and/or enrolled in a public/private school program (likely virtual) with a nonconflicting schedule. Divis Ed is not responsible for determining any such conflicts. All minor participants MUST be 10+ --if an older age is not specified at the time of enrollment-- unless given special permission from the director.

Offerings are designed to enrich and extend education being provided by parents, who are ultimately responsible for their children's educational journey. Parents may decide if/how to incorporate Divis Ed offerings into educational credit for their children. Generally, there will be no formal end-of-activity assessments or firm attendance requirements; however, instructors are glad to provide feedback to parents upon request.

Divis Ed strives to be a supportive, respectful community. All participants--meaning all enrolled or volunteering adults, all enrolled minors, and all parents/guardians of enrolled minors----must heed directions and help create a positive, safe learning environment. Failure to do so may ultimately result in removal from activities without refund. The community is weapon-free, drug-free, slur-free, and romantic display of affection-free.

Divis Ed recognizes the value of screen-free, face-to-face interaction and seeks to minimize use of devices. Participants must heed instructors' requests for limiting device use (e.g. keeping device at home or in bag or locker until relevant). Instructors are also not responsible for the care of devices. At the director's discretion, the director may collect devices to be returned to parents. At no time, either during official Divis Educational activities or outside those activities, may adult participants (including parents/guardians) interact online with minor participants without the knowledge and consent of minors' parents/guardians.

Divis Ed does not typically provide food. Participants are welcome to bring "sack lunches" or other snacks when appropriate, meaning that the food / drink requires no additional preparation (no warming, cooking, chilling, washing, etc.).

Occasionally participants may have opportunities to purchase food or other items from outside vendors Divis Ed visits and/or hosts. Any such purchases are voluntary, made with personal spending money.

During the windows of enrollment, participants must enroll--complete with payment--on a first-come, first-served basis. Activities are often capped, and participation in one enrollment period does not necessarily guarantee participation in subsequent periods. However, waitlists are available.

If an instructor must cancel a session, the session will either be rescheduled or refunded, determined by the instructor. If a participant is absent from a session, the instructor may choose to offer an alternative for "catch up" but will not give a refund unless there are extreme circumstances, generally necessitating withdrawal. Sustaining a minor illness / injury / medical procedure, not having transportation temporarily, and electing to be out of town do not count as extreme circumstances. Refunds will be addressed on an individual basis. Note that there is no attendance requirement, and no Divis Ed instructor or director is responsible for attendance records. Parents/participants may wish to track their own attendance for their personal records.
