OVERVIEW

The intersection of ADHD and cultural diversity presents unique challenges and opportunities for educators. BIPOC students with ADHD often face compounded barriers due to systemic inequities and cultural misunderstandings. Educators often grapple with how to best support BIPOC students with ADHD, who may be misunderstood or misdiagnosed due to cultural biases. This workshop addresses these challenges by providing evidence-based strategies and culturally responsive practices that educators can implement immediately. By focusing on equitable classroom management, we aim to dismantle barriers and foster an inclusive environment where BIPOC students with ADHD can thrive. By embracing culturally responsive practices and equitable behavior management techniques, educators will experience enhanced classroom harmony, reduced stress, and a deeper sense of fulfillment in their role.
