The Foundational Elements of Body Piercing

Pre-requisite: You must complete the initial Body Piercing Class prior to taking this class. The initial body Piercing class is the night before this class

This class is designed to give you the knowledge you need in order to start performing 5 of the basic body piercings that you need to know to lay the foundation of your body piercing career.

You will learn how to perform 5 of the most common body piercings including:

Earlobes
Nostril
Conch
Helix
Tragus

We will go over how to correctly perform the body piercings from start to finish. This includes proper jewelry selection, proper placement, common problems, how to set up your sterile field and most importantly, the correct techniques used to successfully perform these piercings. You will also learn the basics of cleaning and sterilization, where you will clean and sterilize all of the tools used in the learning sessions by cleaning them in an ultrasonic and sterilizing them in an autoclave.

You will learn how to use the body piercing tools that are needed for these procedures. We will be practicing on silicone molds, using real body piercing needles, real body jewelry and real body piercing tools. After you are comfortable performing the piercings on the silicone molds, students will have the opportunity to practice on each other. You will also have the opportunity to bring people with you to practice on them.

You will take home with you the tools used in the practice sessions, including the silicone body part molds. You will have the option to purchase an additional starter kit that includes all of the tools, supplies and jewelry you need to perform these piercing in your licensed body piercing studio.
