Progressive Beginner Ukulele Workshops

Who The Classes Are For:

These classes are perfect for people who want to keep up with their community ukulele group or simply learn new music and progress their ukulele playing skills in a fun, social and friendly group class. They're great for those who know a few chords and have been playing for more than 6 months. If you're a complete novice, you'll find our Intro To Ukulele Workshops a better fit.

What You’ll Learn:

A new contemporary song each week (sometimes we'll work on trickier tunes for a few weeks in a row).
Common strumming patterns plus ways to make strumming sound more interesting.
Chord progressions, interesting chord voicings to add to your repertoire
Introduction to barre chords and chord voicings "up the neck"
Techniques such as finger picking, riffs, and chucks to make songs sound great!
Practical tips, tricks, and exercises to improve fluency.

Benefits:

Expert tuition to resolve theory and technical issues
Small class size (max 6 participants) to avoid overwhelming group settings
Experience jamming with others, helpful for joining local ukulele groups or simply playing for pleasure at home
Focus on common challenges like singing while playing, new strumming patterns, reading TAB, barre chords, finger-picking, and quick chord changes
