Sailing Fun for Kids

Chebeague Island Community Sailing School offers boating programs for children age 6 and up, including:

Boating Basics
Beginner & Intermediate Sailing
Intermediate & Advanced Sailing
Racing

In 2025, there will be 3 two-week sailing sessions:

SESSION 1 - July 7 - July 18, 2025
SESSION 2 - July 21 - August 1, 2025
SESSION 3 - - August 4- August 15, 2025
Boating basics will be held for 1 week from 2-3pm on the first week of each session
Racing clinics will be held from 12:30 - 3:00pm on: July 13, July 20, August 3, and August 10

A couple of notes:

REGISTRATION: Please enter the child's name under "Participant" and a parent or guardian's name under "Additional Information." The parent's email and phone number should be listed under "Participant." If you would like additional email addresses or phone numbers listed (for general information sent from the school, not for emergency contact) please email Jessica Fleck at fleckjessica@gmail.com.
REQUIRED FORMS: A waiver and student health form must be completed for each child (not each family). Links to these forms are provided on the registration page. The forms must be completed at the time of registration in order for your child to be enrolled. You only need to fill out one form per child for all sessions/racing clinics.
REQUIRED ATTIRE: Students must have a lifejacket and closed-toe shoes in order to sail (old sneakers are fine). We also suggest bringing sunscreen, water, and a jacket each day. ANY SNACKS must be nut-free - thank you!
CANCELLATIONS: Must be made before June 1. After that date, our policy is to refund 1/2 of the session fee up until the week before the session starts. Sessions starting in less than a week will not be refunded.
PARTIAL REFUNDS: No partial refunds will be given if your child cannot attend every day in a session or if your child can only attend for 1 week of a session.
SCHOLARSHIPS: Financial accommodations are available and are confidential. Please reach out if the cost will prohibit your child from participating.
