The Inspiring Hope Teen Girls Life Skills and personal development mentoring program is designed to be highly relational and connect with the participants on an individual level. One of the greatest strengths of this program is the rapport we are able to build with our participants which is key to seeing a positive change outworked in their lives.

This program works in conjunction with all existing services, such as counsellors and psychologists, by offering to individualise the content in alignment with their support goals. The key areas our program looks to develop are:

Inspiring Hope’s Leaving Care Workshop Areas of Development:

Placement and permeance / living skills for home life
Personal identity and culture / personal strengths, talents, and goals
Family & significant relationships / boundaries and healthy dynamics
Health / wellbeing: assist participants to build an understanding of their health and wellbeing, personal hygiene, and daily living skills.
Educational / vocational training & workplace: Developing skills for employment and job interviews. Understanding the importance of professionalism during work and study.
Supporting participants in further education and motivation towards study, work, and personal commitments.
Social/ living skills & peer relationships: Personal and social development, teaching participants how to engage with healthy friendships, relationships and identifying negative ones.
Emotional / behaviour development
Legal issues / care matters: Support them in developing an understanding of their legal rights and responsibilities.
Planned financial: Budgeting and understanding their responsibility financially and legally particularly with renting and contracts.
