Our very own Director of Pelvic Health, Stephanie Nguyen, PT, DPT, PRPC, CDNS with be hosting her first OSS peripartum course: “Assessment and Treatment of the Pregnant and Post-Partum Patient for Orthopedic Therapists". This course is targeted towards PT, PTA, OT, COTA and ATCs as a didactic overview and lab-based component of the orthopedic management of peripartum patients. No internal work is performed during this course however an overview of when symptoms/indications necessitate an internal referral to a Pelvic Health provider is highlighted.

Attendees will be exposed to the physiological changes and considerations of pregnancy including key changes and contraindications during each trimester. Safe performance of a lumbopelvic exam including differential diagnosis of pelvic girdle pain and pregnancy related lumbopelvic pain will be reviewed. Therapeutic interventions are tailored towards each trimester, labor/delivery preparation, breastfeeding postural considerations, post-partum core activation and diastasis recti abdominus.

A **COUPON CODE** for permanent staff will be provided once a Continuing Education Request is submitted to, and approved by, the Business Office.
