Material fee:

Paid to the Instructor on the first day of class. $25 for enough material for 1 star and 2 reindeer.

Registration opens at 12:00 pm (noon): Tuesday, September 15th

Registration deadline: Saturday, October 31st

Cancellation deadline: Thursday, October 15th

Location: Room #3 at the Triangle Fiber Arts Center

Description

Did you know Robin’s Grandma is from Sweden? Learn how to make these lovely holiday decorations. The Swedish Star, also known as the Swedish Snowflake, and the Swedish Reindeer. We will cut, fold, glue, and clip pieces together before adding a lovely Christmas string of either red and white or silver and white.

When Registering, participants will be given the opportunity to purchase additional kits for $15/star and $5/reindeer. People who have made baskets before may have time to do more decorations. Others may like a kit to work on at home. (Kits will not include the glue for the stars.)

Prerequisites for participants:

No experience needed, just an interest in learning.

Materials to be provided by/additional instructions for students:

Please bring to class:

Measuring tape
Clothespins (the smaller the better). Tiny sewing clips are what I use
Good scissors or basketry sheers

Please bring a lunch or snack if you would like. Access to a refrigerator and microwave are available in the building.
