This class is a basic introduction to firearms that assumes no prior knowledge. It is good for those who are considering firearm ownership or those who want to understand how to navigate around firearms safely.

We will have approximately 2.5 hours of classroom instruction, then we'll be driving to a shooting range in the suburbs for live fire practice. If you need a ride, please include that info in the notes field during registration.

Safely loading and unloading
Safely operating and shooting
Basics of marksmanship
Live fire practice

Please review all of our policies on our Policy Page, and be prepared to sign a waiver once you arrive to class. The class fees include range fees, targets, and instruction, and use of up to 25 rounds of ammunition for initial practice. I will have guns available for use during the class. If you wish to do additional shooting after the initial practice shots, you can bring ammunition or purchase some at the range.
