The Kinder Learn-to-Dive program is designed for divers aged 3 to 5 years old. This is a special program for young athletes to learn diving skills at a developmental pace. The program is shortened to 45 minutes per class, making it ideal for little ones to try diving. There is a maximum 1:4 coach to diver ratio to maintain safety and ensure divers are engaged in the class.

Requirement for entry: 3 to 5 years of age. No diving experience required. Must be able to jump in and swim to the side of pool in deep water, unassisted.

Monday dryland classes take place EVERY OTHER week, beginning Monday, February 9 for a total of 5 dryland classes. Friday pool classes take place most Fridays from February 13 to April 17 for a total of 7 pool classes. See the dates breakdown for details. Dryland classes take place at our Training Center located at 486 Weber St N., Unit 101 in Waterloo from 6:30-7:15pm. Pool classes take place at the Waterloo Swimplex on Father David Bauer Drive on Fridays from 5:00-5:45 pm.

NO POOL CLASSES on the following dates: March 20 (March Break), March 27 (Phoenix meet), April 3 (Good Friday)

Recreational Diver Insurance fee: In addition, there is a recreational diver insurance fee payable directly to Diving Canada/Dive Ontario (approx. $35, but subject to change). Families MUST register their diver as a KW Diving Club "club member", and "recreational athlete/recreational diver/diver recreational", in the H2OReg system, and pay the DPC/DO insurance fee directly through the system. This must be done prior to their first class, or your diver will not be allowed to participate until this registration is complete. The link into H2OReg for the 2025-26 season will be emailed to those families who have not already registered for the 2025-2026 season.
