Material fee:

Up to $10 for silk yarn depending on how much the instructor can bring and how much the student uses.
Fee to be paid to the Instructor in class on the first day of class.

Registration opens at 12:00 pm (noon): Tuesday, August 4th

Cancellation deadline: Thursday, September 3rd

Location: Room #3 at the Triangle Fiber Arts Center

Most spinners start out making two-ply yarn or chain plying. This class will:

Help you make your plied yarn more even.
Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of spinning multi-ply yarns.
Teach a few other plying structures.
Consider some of the differences between spinning and plying methods and how they affect the potential uses of handspun yarn.

Students must bring their own wheel and pre-spun single ply yarn (1 oz. on each of 4 bobbins or wound off onto a storage bobbin or equivalent (not a center pull ball)
Please bring a lunch or snack if you would like. Access to a refrigerator and microwave are available in the building.
