Do you know the four steps of NVC but want to live NVC in your moment-to-moment life? Are you hungry to connect more to your body? Do you want more fluency with your NVC skill? Are you curious about how NVC can be a spiritual practice?

This 6-month (drop in) series is for Intermediate and Advanced learners of NVC who want to take their compassionate awareness to the next level. In each of these monthly sessions, we will practice feeling into the body, experiencing the body sensations connected to our feelings and needs to more deeply experience self-empathy and other-empathy. We will experience how emotions like sadness, anger, guilt and fear can shift and lighten when we explore how they move through the body.

In this monthly 6-session (drop in) course, we will include a mixture of theory and experiential exercises to practice using NVC tools in real time. You will be given some somatic practices to support you to delve more deeply into the spiritual, energetic and experiential potential behind the "4 steps" of the NVC process. We will explore how to connect to the body to restore ourselves back to equilibrium during moments of reactivity.

These 90 minute session will include theory, break out groups, somatic exercises, journaling, art and other creative ways to learn through play.

Requested preparation:
- 5 hours or equivalent of NVC training, NVC literature or NVC through video education
- an understanding of
   – the intention of NVC
   – the definition and purpose of observation, feeling, need and request
   – communication which blocks compassion and its gift
- some practice applying NVC in your life
