Course Overview: One of the most important aspects of the art-making process is the presentation of brushstrokes. Each brushstroke carries tone, emotion and feeling and tells its own story. Together, these individual marks form the larger narrative of a completed painting. When brushstrokes do not support the overall intent of a piece, the result can fall short of the original vision. Whatever the source of inspiration, whether an idea, a sketch, or a photograph and whether working in abstraction, figurative work, landscape, still life, wildlife, or pets, becoming mindful of your brushstrokes can transform a painting into something remarkable. When combined with key design elements such as balance, unity, movement, rhythm, pattern, contrast and focal point, intentional brushwork has the power to elevate and strengthen your artistic practice.

Course fee: $400.00 (General) or $365.00 (Senior 55+). HST is not included in the price.
This course takes place at the Belleville campus: 376 Wallbridge Loyalist Rd, Belleville, ON K8N 5B9
Campus information, including room number, parking, directions, etc., will be provided closer to the start date.
A refund (less $20.00 administrative fee) will be issued if you withdraw from a class at least 14 days before the start date of the class. After this deadline, no refunds will be issued.
If a course is cancelled by Loyalist College, registered students will be provided with a full refund. College decisions to cancel a course will be made 14 days before the class start date.

Brushes - Variety of long handled acrylic brushes, including several different sizes of flats, filberts and rounds
