Four-day training course to become an accredited Confidential Advisor (register vertrouwenspersoon)

The four-day Confidential Advisor training is designed for individuals who wish to assume the role of an internal or external confidential advisor professionally. During this course, participants will gain insights into the relevant laws and regulations, the tasks and responsibilities, and the position of the confidential advisor within an organization.

In addition to the theoretical component, participants will learn how to effectively support and guide individuals who raise concerns about inappropriate behavior or report (alleged) misconduct or integrity violations.

More and more organizations are choosing to implement the confidential advisor in the organization, not only to fulfill their legal obligation to prevent unwanted behavior but also to foster a positive work atmosphere and a socially safe environment for all employees. A confidential advisor contributes to a socially safe and ethical workplace by providing a supportive point of contact for employees who encounter unwanted behavior or witness integrity issues.

LIVP & Professional association LVV

This training includes course materials and a certificate from the Landelijk Instituut Vertrouwenspersonen (LIVP). The course is delivered by a trainer from LIVP and is accredited by the National Association of Confidential Advisors (LVV). This accreditation ensures you receive a comprehensive education based on recognized methodologies. After completing the training, you will be equipped to professionally support and guide individuals reporting concerns and to inform and advise organizations on issues related to inappropriate behavior and integrity.

Registered LVV Confidential Advisor (Register Vertrouwenspersoon)

The LIVP is authorized to provide the foundational training programme fully online to participants residing in Curaçao, the other Caribbean islands, and Suriname. While the LVV strongly values in-person interaction and generally prefers to include one or more classroom-based training days, it recognizes that geographical distance may make this impractical. For that reason, an exception to the accreditation requirements has been granted, allowing the foundational programme to be delivered entirely online for participants in these regions.

Upon successful completion of the training programme, participants may apply for registration as an officially recognized Confidential Advisor in the Hobéon SKO Professional Register (Stichting Kwaliteitsregister Vertrouwenspersonen – SKV) and become a member of the LVV (National Association of Confidential Advisors).

Registration requires successfully passing the national examination, which consists of both a theoretical and a practical assessment. As of August 1, 2025, Compliance Caribbean has been designated as an official examination location in Curaçao for the theoretical component. We are currently exploring the possibility of offering the practical assessment locally as well. Until further notice, the practical examination can only be completed in the Netherlands.
