High School Bible Foundations of Emotional Health(Virtual Only Monday and Wednesday 10:00-10:55am)

This course explores the powerful connection between thoughts, emotions, faith, and personal growth through the lens of brain science and emotional health. Using Switch on Your Brain by Caroline Leaf and The Garden Within by Anita Phillips, students will examine how thinking patterns influence behavior, relationships, decision-making, and their overall well-being. Throughout the course, students will learn how the brain forms habits through repeated thoughts and how neuroplasticity allows those patterns to be reshaped. They will explore the difference between healthy and toxic thinking, develop practical tools for managing stress and anxiety, and practice strategies for renewing the mind. In the second semester, the focus will shift toward emotional awareness and growth. Students will study the purpose of emotions, the impact of stress and trauma on the brain and body, and the importance of boundaries, forgiveness, resilience, and healthy relationships.
