Learn to throw clay on the potter’s wheel in this fun 4-week class! This course is designed for those who are totally new to throwing, but it's also perfect if you've thrown before and just need to get reacquainted with the basics.

Course Level

Good to know

There is no Open Studio time included with this course, but we offer drop-in open studio during our open hours. Learn more here!
Please be advised that throwing on the wheel may be difficult for students with long nails.
We suggest that all students bring an old bath towel to cover their clothes while throwing. It's also a good idea to wear an apron or old clothes that can get dirty.
To cut down on trash, we don't provide paper towels in the studio. We suggest all students bring a hand or kitchen towel to dry their hands.
Registrations for courses that have not met the required number of students will close 24 hours before the start date of the course.
Students may return to the Clay Center during Open Studio to finish pieces started in class for one month following the last class day of their registered class.

Missed Class/Make-up Policies

We allow one make-up for a missed class per four-week course.
After the last class in a session has begun, we will email all enrolled students with information on available class make-up spots for that session.
