Welcome to Airedale:

On your second day of onboarding, you will transition from classroom theory to hands-on mastery of essential tools, including tape measures, silicone applicators, impact drivers, and riveters. The training culminates in a practical assembly challenge where you will build and deconstruct a metal enclosure, demonstrating your proficiency in precision measurement, blueprint reading, fastening techniques, and overall shop safety.

Course Overview:

This course equips participants with the fundamental knowledge and practical skills required to safely and effectively handle basic hand tools and assembly tasks common in production environments.

Key Learning Points:

Tool Identification & Mastery: Learn to correctly identify and safely operate essential hand tools, including impact drivers, riveters, and drills.
Precision Measurement: Comprehensive training on tape measure techniques, featuring a dedicated hands-on practice session.
Sealing & Finishing: Specialized instruction on silicone and caulking application, including practical floor-work exercises.
The Metal Box Challenge: To test your assembly skills, you will perform a full build of a metal box, followed by a complete disassembly to understand component fit, and hardware management.
