Foundations & Safety

Shotgun Level 1 is designed for new or returning shooters looking to build a solid, safe foundation with the shotgun platform. This instructor-led course emphasizes safety, confidence, and fundamental shooting skills.

Course Focus:

Shotgun safety rules and safe handling
Shotgun types, ammunition, and operation
Proper stance, mounting, recoil management
Loading and unloading procedures
Basic marksmanship and target engagement

Range-appropriate clothing

Three hours classroom at Idaho Guns & Outdoors Athol, and two hours live fire at Farragut Shooting Range. $20 non refundable deposit required to hold your spot. Limited to 10 students.
