Explore Coding and Creativity with mBot and Gamefroot.

In this course, upper elementary students will explore robotics, coding, and game design using mBot and Gamefroot, a beginner-friendly game development platform. Through hands-on, project-based learning, students will explore programming, electronics, and creative problem-solving as they navigate robotics challenges, design interactive projects that resemble real-world scenarios, and create their games.

Course Goals:

Develop a Solid Understanding of Robotics and Coding Concepts: Students will learn the essential principles of robotics and coding and apply them to hands-on projects.
Build and Program Interactive Projects Using LEDs and Electronic Components: Students will engage in hands-on projects that involve programming LEDs and other electronic components. This practical experience will help solidify their understanding of how hardware and software work together to create interactive devices.
Design and Create Games with Gamefroot:Students will utilize the Gamefroot platform to create their own games, learning about game mechanics, designing characters, and enhancing user experience to craft engaging gameplay.
Enhance Problem-Solving and Collaborative Skills: Students will collaborate on group projects and challenges to address complex problems in robotics and coding. This teamwork-focused approach will help them build essential communication and critical-thinking skills.
