Hands-on projects using the VEX Robotics platform and Aerial Drone programs.

Our innovative curriculum is designed to meet the diverse learning styles of students, allowing them to engage with hands-on projects that relate to real-world applications. By enrolling in this course, students will improve their critical thinking skills, explore STEM concepts, and refine their engineering design abilities, all in preparation for robotics competitions.

In the drone programming course, students will have the unique opportunity to master engineering principles, learn essential safety protocols, and understand the social responsibilities associated with flying drones.

Course Goals:

Program Robots for Movement and Sensor Response: Students will gain practical experience in programming robots. They will learn to implement code that enables robots to navigate their surroundings and respond accurately to sensor inputs.
Apply Mechanical Design Principles: Students will learn fundamental principles of mechanical design to create and build their projects. They will use key components such as motors, gears, and sensors to enhance their understanding of how these parts work together and improve overall performance.
Utilize the Engineering Design Process: Students will be guided through the engineering design process, which includes identifying problems, brainstorming solutions, and prototyping. They will learn to systematically evaluate and improve the functionality and reliability of their designs through iterative testing and feedback.
Develop Debugging and Troubleshooting Skills: Students will learn to identify errors in their code, apply logical reasoning to overcome programming challenges, and implement effective solutions to ensure their robots function as intended.
Prepare for Robotics Competitions: Students will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to compete in robotics competitions. This includes understanding competition rules, designing robots that meet specific criteria, and developing strategies to optimize performance in a competitive environment.
