He then equipped His disciples to participate in that ministry—not as performers of spiritual power, but as servants entrusted with the message and ministry of the Kingdom.

SPL3101: Prophetic Healing & Deliverance Practicum is an intensive, supervised ministry formation experience designed to equip developing prophetic practitioners to minister healing and deliverance with biblical grounding, spiritual discernment, compassion, wisdom, appropriate safeguards, and accountability.

This practicum moves beyond learning about healing and deliverance into the disciplined development of ministry competency. Students engage Scripture, theological reflection, instructor demonstration, case analysis, supervised ministry practice, healing clinics, field application, personal formation, and structured debriefing as they learn how to participate responsibly in Christ’s restoring work.

At the heart of SPL3101 is a conviction:

Those who minister healing must themselves be continually formed by the Healer.

For this reason, the practicum addresses not only what happens through the minister, but what God is forming within the minister.

SPL3101 sits within the Practice dimension of the School of Prophetic Leadership curriculum. Its central concern is not simply:

Can I pray for healing?

or:

Do I understand deliverance?

The deeper question is: "How do I minister to people in a way that faithfully represents Jesus Christ?"

Students therefore learn to hold together realities that should never be separated:

The result is a ministry model centered not on manifestations, personalities, or techniques, but upon Christ and the restoration of people.

Course Description

SPL3101: Prophetic Healing & Deliverance Practicum is a 36-contact-hour supervised practicum in biblical healing, deliverance, prophetic discernment, compassionate ministry, and restorative Kingdom practice. Structured across three 12-hour intensive weekends, the practicum provides an immersive environment in which students integrate theological understanding with supervised ministry application.

Students examine the ministry of Jesus as the primary pattern for healing and deliverance and explore the biblical foundations of healing, spiritual warfare, inner healing, deliverance, discernment, prayer ministry, and restoration.

The course also addresses the formation of the healing minister. Students are invited to examine their own wounds, motivations, assumptions, boundaries, spiritual practices, and patterns of ministry so that what they carry publicly is increasingly supported by health and maturity privately.

Through teaching, guided activation, case studies, ministry demonstrations, healing clinics, supervised encounters, field simulation, reflection, and debriefing, students develop the competencies necessary to minister with greater confidence and responsibility.

Particular attention is given to consent, confidentiality, appropriate physical contact, trauma-aware ministry, relational boundaries, discernment, team ministry, and deliverance safeguards.

SPL3101 does not encourage sensationalized approaches to healing or deliverance. Students are trained to minister calmly, compassionately, prayerfully, and under appropriate spiritual and ministry oversight.

Healing ministers do not minister from a place of human perfection. They are themselves people continually being transformed by Christ. The practicum therefore recognizes several dimensions of the healer’s journey:

Three Intensive Weekends

SPL3101 is fulfilled through three 12-hour intensive weekends, creating a total of 36 contact hours. Rather than spreading applied learning thinly across a traditional weekly format, the intensive structure creates sustained environments for teaching, practice, reflection, supervision, and integration.

Intensive I — Foundation & Formation

The first intensive establishes the biblical and personal foundations of healing ministry. Students explore the call of the prophetic healer, Christ as the model for ministry, the relationship between healing and deliverance, and the importance of the minister’s own formation.

Intensive II — Discernment & Ministry Practice

The second intensive moves more deeply into discernment, healing prayer, inner healing, deliverance principles, ministry protocols, and supervised application. Students learn how to approach ministry situations without presumption, diagnose neither people nor circumstances beyond their competency, and respond to what is discerned with wisdom.

What is happening, and how should we minister?

Intensive III — Integration & Apostolic Release

The third intensive integrates learning through advanced ministry application, case studies, supervised practice, field simulation, reflection, and preparation for continued ministry. Students consider not only whether they can minister, but whether they can steward ministry responsibly over time.

How will I carry this ministry faithfully beyond the practicum?

Supervised Ministry Experience

A defining feature of SPL3101 is supervised practice. Students are not simply given principles and then expected to reproduce them independently.

They learn within environments where ministry can be:

Observed.
Practiced.
Evaluated.
Reflected upon.
Strengthened.

Practical formation may include healing clinics, ministry simulations, guided prayer encounters, case analysis, ministry-team exercises, field experiences, and structured debriefing.

This reflective-practice model helps students learn not only what they did, but also:

Where further formation is needed

Healing & Deliverance Safeguards

Responsible ministry requires safeguards. SPL3101 therefore places significant emphasis upon healthy ministry protocols, including:

Avoiding manipulation, coercion, and pressure

Certification Pathway

SPL3101 may serve as the required practicum component within the Certified Prophetic Practitioner (CPP) pathway and as foundational practicum preparation for students progressing toward the Master Prophetic Practitioner (MPP) pathway.

Certification, however, is not granted simply for attending SPL3101. The broader practitioner pathway includes additional coursework, formation, mentoring, assessment, portfolio, competency-review, and commissioning requirements. SPL3101 represents one significant part of that larger journey.

Students who complete SPL3101 should leave with more than techniques for praying for healing or responding to deliverance situations. They should leave with a more mature understanding of what it means to carry the ministry of Christ responsibly.
