Explorations in Gelli Plate Printing

The first session will start with a basic printing introduction or refresher to gelli printing with acrylic paint, including how to clean rollers and gelli paints while keeping in mind environmental concerns. In subsequent sessions, students will explore the use of stencils, rubber stamps, paint markers, alcohol inks and image transfers in their gelli prints. As we work, we’ll talk about ways to use our beautiful (and not so beautiful) prints. All materials are provided. You are welcome to bring special papers or textural materials-doilies, cardboard, plant material, etc. Supplies are included.
