Starting before sunset and continuing into the night to approximately 10pm, participants will fully experience the transition to and into the full presence of night. During that time, we take a walk, both exploring and observing the night and its salient wildlife features. There are activities, too, featuring specific night ecology (nature) as well as human things night-related. This outing is an experience often passed over or avoided; so many participants who have shared their night outing experience say it IS one of their favorite outings!

ACTIVITIES:

Highlight Nocturnal animals through presentation and searching while hiking,

Owl studies (typically includes owl pellet dissection)

Sensory and Night Awareness activities

Night sky observation

Quiet Sit
