Kaumatua Creatives - Crafting Together for those aged 55 and over.

This weekly class designed for our local Kaumatua/Seniors aged 55 and over. We work on collaborative and individual crafting projects over the 8 weeks.

Each 2-hour, weekly class is designed to promote self-expression, enhance mental health, provide an opportunity to socialise, stimulate your brain and unlock hidden talents. All whilst having fun in a warm and safe environment.

This term we will be exploring a range of techniques through:

Cyanotype Printing
Christmas Nature Crafts
Collaborative Murals

Course cost is $50 includes all materials.

As a not-for-profit organisation, NGĀ ART (Te Whare Toi o Ngaaruawaahia) relies on grants, community funding, and donations to keep our classes affordable and accessible for everyone in our community. This programme is generously subsidised thanks to funding support from TEC (Tertiary Education Commission) to assist with literacy and numeracy needs of our participants. You must attend 80% of the classes. At the same time we hope you will learn other useful and interesting skills and have a lot of fun learning with us.
